Density is a terrific granular monster! Definitly in my top 3 grain weapons of choice. Here some of my work using Density:

(approx.) 2:50 to 4:30... The framented crystal kind of sound in the background:
http://soundcloud.com/red-fog/memory-of-the-ferrofluids

approx 8:50 to the end... cloud of crispy grains:
http://soundcloud.com/red-fog/199-broken-light-tubes

approx. 8:25 to the end... cloud of glassy grains:
http://soundcloud.com/red-fog/frostar

11:00 to 13:25, granular resysnthesis with a japanese shamisen instrument:
http://soundcloud.com/sleeping-on-lotus-ashes/myoelectric-prosthetic-scabs

Enjoy! And thanks Alessandro for this amazing tool of granules, a must.

A piece of music only using Density. I fed 2 guitar parts into it and a field recording then improvised the performance using the many automation parameters available. The piece has an accompanying visuals.

Density allows me to work in realtime with grain envelopes to reshape sound samples. The GUI functions are easy to learn and allow algorithmic control over multiple granular streams. I enjoyed being able to generate and record eight tracks to send to my diffusion system.

Pulsaret offers grainlet synthesis in a matrix system that puts the fun back into dsp and opens up extensive non-linear controls over microsonic synthesis.

Density is a slew of cutting edge granular operations in a fantastic working environment.
It's is one of my favorite secret weapons of choice for sound design. It's incredible

I used the Density for Sufi chants solely based upon the human voice and naturals sounds. I tried many other platforms but the most suitable software for such application of human voice and natural sounds manipulations is density so far.

Divine Hiss ( 's' sound)
http://www.mediafire.com/file/qfd7xgt0i7w0gnd/siin_prf1_320.mp3

The piece starts with the songs of whales, they make sounds without opening their mouths.

0:33-1:40 might seem like the sounds of hauling winds but actually
they are the sounds from the syrinx of Vespers and Robins, slowed down with super low-pitch. These birdsongs then sound just like a wind, without any modification to the original sound, except by simply
slowing-down and lowering the pitch.

3:00-3:45 sounds like a hospital heart monitor, or an operating pump,
but it is actually Bi-S-Mi of Basmala (IN THE NAME OF) again with super low-pitch!

4:32-5:05 might sound like Ligeti's Requiem II, but it is actually the very beginning of the Ya of Ya- Siin!!!! Amazingly Granular Synthesis reveals a plethora of calls, chorus unisonous calls.

Yaa-Siin has no semantics it is only a sequence of several phones.

/* ============== */
http://soundcloud.com/dara-o-shayda/thunders-discourse

Thunder is a massive multi-cellular organism, hundred of kilometres long and wide, many kilometres high stretching into outer-space, comprised of massive number of micro-organisms, particles anti-particles and audible acoustics as well as audible VLF electromagnetic waves:

http://www.untiredwithloving.org/thunder.html

00:22-01:10 The thunder acoustics slowed down and odd mumbles of conversations can be heard.

01:10-End 13:13 chant is slowed down from 3 secs to 7 minutes with microsecond long granules. Clearly hisses of Siin ('s' sound) and Haa ('h' sound) can be heard.

03:39-04:13 VLF audible electromagnetic waves are compared to the sound of the phoneme 'Ain (20th letter of the Arabic)

Production: Granular Synthesis by Density: http://www.densitygs.com/, the tracks arranged by Garage Band, the chant is by Sheikh AbdulRazaq bin Abtan Al-Dulaimi:http://www.mediafire.com/file/n7wcxk7z5czda3x/thunder_dulaimi_short.wav

All the other sounds e.g. rain and thunder are all naturally recorded sounds.
